FALL22 - Oral Communication B2 DAY [FALL2, Online]

Using a communicative approach based on current materials and techniques, your instructor will help you improve your vocabulary as well as your oral comprehension and expression skills in French.

At the B2 level, learners are expected to communicate with a degree of spontaneity and fluency in a way that is comfortable for everyone. This is a class in which you will express opinions on current affairs, as well as socio-cultural subjects, giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

• Course Type: Online. Please keep in mind that online courses are limited to six students. If the course is full, please let us know your interest, and we will try to open an additional class.

• Prerequisite: B2.2 course or B2 Review, or result at placement test. New students and students returning after more than three quarters are required to take a short online placement test https://www.afseattle.org/placement-tests/

This class will explore the history of art through both well-known works and lesser-known works from France and the Francophone world.

As Jules Renard said, "the scholar generalizes, the artist individualizes.” Through small visual studies of these individualities and a broader study of artistic genres, we will retrace important historical moments that will allow us to understand and approach periods and events that have forged France and the Francophonie as it is today.

Prerequisite: B1.3 course, B1 Review, or B1.3/B2.1 result at placement test.
