A2 Intermediate

FALL22 - One-Week Intensive A2 Review

Intensive Courses
This class is designed for students who are at the end of the A2 level and who wish to strengthen and practice their language proficiency across all language skills (listening, reading, speaking, writing) before moving on to a specialized A2+ course or a General French course at the B1.1 level. Please note it will not be possible to cover every A2 topic in this weeklong class. Learners are encouraged to share with their instructor their challenges or questions at the outset of the course so that the curriculum can be adapted to best meet the needs of the group.

Each day, one or more grammar topics at the A2 level will be reviewed based on support materials such as readings or videos, and put into practice through a series of written and spoken exercises. Throughout the course, relevant vocabulary and appropriate syntax for the A2 level will be addressed.

Learners at the end of the A2 level can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). They can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters, as well as describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

• Course materials: All materials will be made available on our e-learning plateform Apolearn.

• Prerequisite: A2.3 course completed, or B1.1 result at placement test

• Next course: General French B1.1 or an A2+ Specialized French course.

Pace: Intensive, 1 week, total of 10h

FALL22 - Oral Communication A2+

• Prerequisite: General French A2.3 course, A2 Review, or A2.3/B1.1 result at placement test. New students and students returning after more than three quarters are required to take our online placement test.
