While broadening their vocabulary and strengthening the use of present and future tense, students will approach the past tense and learn how to talk about personal experiences and to give their opinion. All activities are conducted mainly in French with an immersive approach.

Note: PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS COURSE WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLINE AND IS LIMITED TO 6 LEARNERS. If the course is full, please let us know your interest, and we will try to open an additional class.

This class is designed for children between 7 and 11 years old who have finished the beginner level A1 and are comfortable interacting in French in a simple way (speak and write about themselves and their environment).
• Prerequisite: Winter 2020-Les Pingouins.
• IMPORTANT: This is the third class out of a series of three to cover the whole A2.1 level. No enrollments are allowed at this point. New students can be enrolled in the Fall Quarter 2020. You can send us an email at school@afseattle.org if you have questions.
• A2.1 Level: Along with the textbook and workbook “Les Loustics 3” and various action-oriented and creative activities, students will be able to have a basic conversation in French through topics related to their everyday life and environment. While broadening their vocabulary and strengthening the use of present and future tense, students will approach the past tense and learn how to talk about personal experiences and to give their opinion. All activities are conducted mainly in French with an immersive approach.

Objectives
Objectives of level A2:
- understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
- communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
- describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment, and matters in areas of immediate need.
