Students will learn to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. They will learn how to introduce themselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, people they know, and things they have. They will learn to interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Note: PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS COURSE WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLINE AND IS LIMITED TO 6 LEARNERS. If the course is full, please let us know your interest, and we will try to open an additional class.

A1.3 is the last course of the level A1 (Beginner), which comprises courses A1.1, A1.2, and A1.3, for a total of 90 hours of instruction.
• Prerequisite: A1.2 course or A1.3 result at placement test. New students: please take a short online placement test https://www.afseattle.org/placement-tests/
• Textbook (not included in tuition): “Entre nous 1” that covers the whole A1 level.
• Content of the A1.3 course: chapters 7 & 8, DELF A1 Prep, Review.
• Next course: One-week Intensive A1 Review, A2.1, or an A2 specialized French course.

• No class on July 4. The SUM20 - A1.3 SAT course will have nine 3-hour sessions (prorated tuition).
A valid registration fee is required in order to enroll in this course (members are exempt).
