In the upper intermediate level B2, students will learn to understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization. They will develop the capacity to interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. They will learn to produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

Note: Please keep in mind that all courses are conducted online since March and are limited to six students. If the course is full, please let us know your interest, and we will try to open an additional class.

An intensive week, 2.5 hours daily from Monday to Friday, designed to strengthen all major skills acquired during the B2 level—speaking, listening, reading, and writing. This class can help you to boost your French for an exam or simply to give you more confidence and enhance your knowledge.
• Prerequisite: B2.3 course or B2.3 result at placement test. New students and students returning after more than three quarters are required to take a short online placement test https://www.afseattle.org/placement-tests/
• Next course (upon instructor’s approval): a B2/C1 specialized course.
