They will learn how to introduce themselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, people they know, and things they have. They will learn to interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Note: This is a self-study course recommended for reviewing the notions acquired during the A1 level. The activities consist in modules to be completed individually on the e-learning platform Apolearn. They include grammar, vocabulary, phonetics, oral comprehension, and written comprehension exercises. Learners are recommended to follow a path of 2-3 hours weekly over 10 weeks. The modules are self-corrective, and they open one after another.

• The course will open on Monday, June 21, at 8AM and you will have 10 weeks to complete the content, until Saturday, August 28. There will be an extra week if you need to review, so the platform will close on September 3.
• A tutor will be available during weekly office hours on Wednesdays, 1.30-2.30PM, Jun 30 to Aug 25. You can book slots of 15’ if you have questions. Please be advised that there is no teaching during the office hours, just Q&A.
• Prerequisite: A1.3 course or A2.1 result at placement test. New students and students returning after more than three quarters are recommended to take a short online placement test https://www.afseattle.org/placement-tests/
