Note: B1.2 is the second course of the general French B1 (Intermediate) series, which comprises courses B1.1, B1.2, and B1.3. During these three B1 classes, students will expand their capacity to describe their experiences as well as to begin defending their opinions and ideas. Their vocabulary to discuss areas of personal interest, education, and current events becomes more nuanced, though still remains within the bounds of colloquial language registers. Students learn to describe events in a logical, linear manner (e.g. introduction, development and conclusion), including reporting direct and indirect quotes, thus allowing them to better present accounts of current and past events and personal anecdotes.
