Note: Using a communicative approach based on current material and techniques, your instructor will help you converse in French. B1 learners are expected to communicate in a simple manner on familiar topics; they can generally identify the topic of a discussion which is conducted simply and clearly.

• Course Type: Online. Please keep in mind that online courses are limited to six students. If the course is full, please let us know your interest, and we will try to open an additional class.

• Course Pace: Regular, 5 weeks, once per week, 2H per session on Zoom. Total: 10 hours (class time).

• Prerequisite: General French B1.1 course or B1.2/B1.3 result at placement test. New students and students returning after more than three quarters must take a short online placement test https://www.afseattle.org/placement-tests/
