SPR24 - Teens A1 (Part 3)

General French Teens (13-17)
This course is designed for 13-17 year olds who wish to start learning French. Throughout the academic year (Part 1 in Fall, Part 2 in Winter and Part 3 in Spring), students will acquire basic skills in French on topics related to their everyday life and environment. Through materials provided by the publisher Maison des Langues and other multimedia resources, they will learn to talk about themselves, their families, and events in the present.

Prerequisite: none for Part 1. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need an A1 result at our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

Textbook: there will be no textbook for this course; all materials will be made available by the instructor on the e-learning platform Apolearn.
Pace: Regular, 10 weeks, 1h once a week, total of 10h
Teens A2

SPR24 - Teens A2 (Part 3)

General French Teens (13-17)
This course is designed for 13-17 year olds who are comfortable interacting in French in a simple way. Throughout the academic year (Part 1 in Fall, Part 2 in Winter, and Part 3 in Spring), students will develop the skills and knowledge to have a basic conversation in French through topics related to their everyday life and environment. Through materials provided by the publisher Maison des Langues and other multimedia resources, they will learn to talk about events in the past with more precision and to formulate opinions. All activities are conducted mainly in French with an immersive approach. 

Prerequisite: To start this course at Part 1, you will need to have completed the course Teens A1. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need an A2 result on our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

In this dynamic and engaging course, teens will have the opportunity to enhance their French language skills through lively discussions, interactive activities, and real-life scenarios.

Connect with other teenagers learning French, explore the culture, and strengthen your foundation in French grammar and vocabulary in a practical context.
Pace: Regular, 5 weeks, 1h per week

Through materials provided by the publisher Maison des Langues and various other multimedia resources, they will expand their vocabulary to discuss areas of personal interest, education, and current events. All activities are conducted in French with an immersive approach. 

Prerequisite: To start this course at Part 1, you will need to have completed the course Teens A2. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need an A2+/B1 result at our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

SPR24 - Teens AP: Prep your Oral (B1+/B2)

Elevate your French language skills with our specialized French AP Preparation Course designed exclusively for motivated teens! This dynamic program is tailored to equip you with the practice and confidence needed to excel in the oral portion of the Advanced Placement (AP) French Language and Culture exam.

Course highlights and objectives:
• Develop advanced speaking through interactive discussions, and oral presentations.
• Engage in authentic texts, videos, and discussions that will expand your cultural knowledge and understanding of the French-speaking world.
• Experience the exam environment through mock exams that simulate the real AP exam conditions. Receive personalized feedback and guidance to refine your test-taking skills.

Prerequisite: This course is designed for teens preparing to take the AP French Language and Culture exam. Students should have a solid foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and basic communication skills. Student should have completed the General French Teens B1+/B2 course at AFSeattle, or place at the B2 level in our placement test.
