Virtual Fundraising Party | GivingTuesday 2020

Join us for our 2020 socially distant - yet close to our hearts - fundraiser event this December 1st for Giving Tuesday!

From November 10 until December 10, 2020, the Alliance Française de Seattle is taking part in GivingTuesday's global generosity movement for the first time ever. Our 2020 campaign, One Month of Giving with AFSeattle, will be placed under the values of community, resilience, and integrity, and will support our 2021 programs.

On December 1st, we invite our community to celebrate with us with a virtual cocktail party. Dress to impress, cocktail or champagne in hand, and join us on Zoom!

When you RSVP, you will receive the Zoom meeting link and password. A reminder will also be sent the day before the event.

Program of festivities:

• Welcome address

• Best stories of 2020: the fun of going virtual, as seen by your instructors

• Share an inspiration: You will be invited to submit an item from the Francophone world that you enjoyed/discovered in 2020: a book, a podcast, a song, a recipe, a person, a story... We will gather the list and share it with the community afterwards!
  • Make sure to have a recommendation in mind before the event!

• Cap ou pas cap? In a small group, you will have a few minutes to think of a new online cultural program that AFSeattle should implement in 2021; we'll vote for the best proposal and bring it to life in 2021 (and the winners get a prize)!
  • Bring some wild virtual ideas to your breakout room!

• Pop quiz on French-speaking cultures and expressions (no dictionaries allowed, of course)

• Closing words

DRESS CODE: Dress to impress! Bubbles or cocktails are highly recommended to break the ice and make the evening fly by!
