About the Speaker: Colleen Schafroth joined the Maryhill Museum of Art in 1986 as curator of education, and in May 2001, the Board of Trustees appointed her as executive director. She has over 30 years of experience in museums and the arts. She has written, taught, organized, and presented exhibitions and programs on art for educators and art enthusiasts. Schafroth has published The Art of Chess, as well as on the Théâtre de la Mode and Auguste Rodin. In 2003, the exhibition that she curated, Loïe Fuller: Fire and Ice, opened at Maryhill Museum of Art. Colleen holds a BA in English and a BA in Art, as well as an MA in interdisciplinary studies from Oregon State University.
