Classical Concert: Enescu's Legacy
Educated at the Paris Conservatoire and immersed in the vibrant musical life of the French capital, Enescu absorbed the influence of Fauré, Massenet, and the emerging modernism of the turn of the twentieth century. Yet his music never loses its distinctive identity: folk-inflected melodies, rhythmic vitality, and a profound emotional depth remain at its core.
