Classical Concert: Enescu's Legacy

Educated at the Paris Conservatoire and immersed in the vibrant musical life of the French capital, Enescu absorbed the influence of Fauré, Massenet, and the emerging modernism of the turn of the twentieth century. Yet his music never loses its distinctive identity: folk-inflected melodies, rhythmic vitality, and a profound emotional depth remain at its core.

Food in Literature

Through selected excerpts (in modern French) from Gargantua and Pantagruel, we will discuss how food, language, and laughter intertwine in Rabelais’s vision of humanism. We will engage in guided reading and conversation, discovering how Rabelais’s vibrant spirit continues to nourish both mind and appetite.

Become confident with "le conditionnel"

Through a blend of structured instruction and hands-on practice, including analysis of songs like Jean-Jacques Goldman's "Si je t'aime", Angèle's "Oui ou Non" and Stromae's "Tous les Mêmes", you'll develop confidence in using this tense in both written and spoken French.

Enhance your speaking skills

This class will strengthen all aspects of oral communication at the A2+ and B1 levels. Learners are expected to be gaining some confidence in communicating in a simple manner on familiar topics such as their background, immediate environment, work, school, leisure, and matters related to areas of immediate need
