Important Update on Collective Classes Prices

Due to a change in Washington State law, all our group classes are now subject to a sales tax for Washington residents. Our listed tuition prices will appear to increase, as they now include the required tax. To help offset the change, we’re increasing our Pre-Sale discount to 10% off (previously 8%). Memberships are no longer required to enroll in collective classes (they are now optional).

Embark on a culinary and linguistic journey through the heart of France's culinary heritage! Indulge your senses and deepen your appreciation for the rich tapestry of French culture through the lens of its world-renowned gastronomy, with a focus on traditional holiday celebrations and dishes.

Build confidence speaking French in everyday situations! This class reviews key A1 vocabulary and introduces the expressions you need to talk about yourself, your family, your interests, and your opinions. You’ll practice clear pronunciation and master useful phrases to enjoy authentic cultural experiences with ease.

Youth Holiday Workshop

Join us for a fun exploration of French and Francophone end of the year traditions! We will learn carols and songs about winter, listen to stories and learn how to make house decorations.

Book Club: The Art of Haikus

Join a dynamic literary discussion group designed for advanced learners who love reading in French. Each session focuses on a selected contemporary or classic work, offering opportunities to deepen vocabulary, analyze themes and style, and exchange perspectives on characters, context, and cultural significance.

Book Club: Annie Ernaux

In this 3-week online course, students will read La Place by Annie Ernaux, a fragmented autobiographical work exploring Ernaux's relationship with her father, as well as the dynamics of class, family and transgenerational memory in rural Normandy.

Contes Fantastiques Québécois

Expand your cultural and linguistic francophone knowledge by reading Contes Fantastiques Québécois. Students will read an abbreviated version of the text and will analyze the themes and writing structure. This course enhances language acquisition through reading, listening, conversational fluency and pronunciation skills.

Le "si" conditionnel

Through a blend of structured instruction and hands-on practice, including analysis of conditional usage in memorable songs like Jean-Jacques Goldman's "Si je t'aime", Angèle's "Oui ou Non" and Stromae's "Tous les Mêmes", you'll develop confidence in using this tense in both written and spoken French.

Cinéma Français: Spécial Noël

French cinéma is a conduit to explore ideas—philosophical, sociological, or political—embodied by actors on film. Through film, students will also enhance their knowledge of spoken French of all levels—formal, standard, and informal—as well as their French cultural literacy.

Landscape Architect Bas Smets will describe how his team plans to redesign the square in front of Notre-Dame Cathedral and the underground parking spaces beneath it, the Jean XXIII square located behind the cathedral, the Seine riverbanks, and the adjacent streets, in order to create a microclimate to mitigate the effects of climate change.
