Join us at the SIFF Film Center from March 21 to 23, 2025, for the Young French Cinema program, featuring five remarkable feature films!
Young French Cinema is dedicated to showcasing the work of emerging French filmmakers, particularly films without existing US distribution, and bringing their vision to audiences across the United States.
Presented in collaboration with Unifrance, this program is part of the 15 professional initiatives from Villa Albertine. It highlights some of today’s best films and filmmakers, frequently celebrated by the international press. Most of the films featured in this year’s selection have premiered at prestigious festivals such as Cannes, TIFF, Telluride, London, and Tribeca. Notably, all films in this edition are directed by women.
The program shines a spotlight on rising talents, from critically acclaimed independent films to gripping dramas and thought-provoking documentaries that explore the world around us. The 2024 selection, from which the below films were picked, reflects the global vision of this new generation of filmmakers, showcasing their extraordinary ability to blend cultural influences and address a diverse range of subjects with bold creativity.
