Join the Alliance Française de Seattle and Alliance Française de Portland for an unforgettable day celebrating art, gastronomy, and francophone culture! This immersive experience is the perfect opportunity to meet fellow Francophones and Francophiles, while discovering the intersection of French art and cuisine, followed by an exquisite themed dinner.

The afternoon will begin at Seattle Art Museum (SAM) with a private, guided tour in French of the Seattle Art Museum's exhibition Farm to Table: Art, Food, and Identity in the Age of Impressionism. After the tour, take time to explore the museum's additional exhibits at your own pace. The day will conclude with an elegant dîner en français at Mirabelle by Orphée, transporting you from the streets of Seattle to the heart of Paris.

Reserve your spot now. Registration is exclusive to members and space is limited!

Visite guidée en français

2:30pm - 3:30pm

During this visite en français guided by Seattle artist Jamie Rawding, you will be invited to explore how food—its cultivation, preparation, presentation, and consumption—took center stage in 19th-century French painting and sculpture. Through the lens of cuisine, discover insights into French national identity, history, and artistic practice. The 60-minute guided tour will highlight works in Farm to Table: Art, Food, and Identity in the Age of Impressionism, a temporary exhibition organized by the American Federation of Arts and the Chrysler Museum of Art.

Dîner en français

5:30pm - 7:30pm

Just a few blocks away from SAM, our group will gather at Mirabelle by Orphée for an exclusive private dinner. Enjoy a warm, convivial atmosphere where French conversation flows as easily as the wine. Chef and owner, Orphée Fouano, has crafted a buffet-style menu showcasing French flavors as small bites, paired with thoughtfully selected wines. This meal is the perfect opportunity to connect with members of Portland and Seattle's French-speaking community, enjoy conversations in French, and share a delicious meal.
