Each week, a theme will be explored through a reading and/or listening exercise appropriate to the level. Relevant vocabulary and one or more grammar points at the A2 level will be reviewed based on support materials and put into practice through structured activities designed to generate authentic conversation, including role playing, presentations, discussions, games, etc.
Throughout the course, students will receive personalized and prompt feedback from their instructor on grammar, vocabulary, syntax, and pronunciation. A2+ learners are expected to communicate in a simple manner on familiar topics about their background, immediate environment, and matters in areas of immediate need; they can generally identify the topic of a discussion which is conducted simply and clearly as a direct exchange of information.
Prerequisite: students should already have completed the three-part A2 General French series (A2.1, A2.2 and A2.3) or an A2 Review course before registering in an A2+ course. Students who have received an A2.3 or B1.1 result on the placement test are also eligible to register.

This 3-hour workshop will give you the opportunity to discover the French of everyday life—the one you will hear on the metro, in cafés, or at your friend’s house. You will also explore linguistic patterns such as casual speech, verlan, and slang, short forms for texting, and the highly creative 'parler jeune'.

Description: This intermediate-level French course is designed for professionals aiming to enhance their French language
skills in a business context. Using the comprehensive textbook "Edito Pro," this course will guide students through practical and
relevant scenarios they may encounter in the workplace. The course is suitable for those with a basic understanding of French who are
looking to advance their proficiency to a B1 level. This is the first class in the 5-part A1 series beginning in the Summer 2024 quarter.
Course Objectives:
- Improve spoken and written French for professional settings.
- Expand vocabulary and idiomatic expressions relevant to various industries.
- Develop skills for effective communication in meetings, presentations, and negotiations.

SUM24 - Brittany and Crêpe-Making B1/B2
Travel to Brittany, this beautiful region of the West of France for an evening, through the art of crêpe-making and the opinions of a proud Breton. We’ll talk about the geography, the culture, the traditions of the region. We’ll also learn how to make its most famous dish, “La crêpe”, its toppings, through a demonstration and sampling.
The class will be taught in French, with few English translations.

family tradition which represent the authenticity and excellence of the region. Emma is passionate about finding the essence of things,
particularly as it relates to sense of place and group dynamics. That’s what she loves about being a tour guide to Brittany. When not in
Brittany, Emma resides in the Pacific Northwest. When not teaching, she runs a non profit (TINFA),

Each week, a different document (video, radio show, article) will be provided on the e-learning platform before class (expect no more
