Teens A1

SPR23 - Teens A1, Part 3

General French Teens (13-17)
This course is designed for 13-17 year olds who wish to start learning French. Throughout the academic year (Part 1 in Fall, Part 2 in Winter and Part 3 in Spring), students will acquire basic skills in French on topics related to their everyday life and environment. Through the textbook À la une 1 and various other multimedia resources, they will learn to talk about themselves, their families, and events in the present.

Prerequisite: none for Part 1. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need an A1 result at our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

Pace: Regular, 10 weeks, 1h once a week, total of 10h
Teens A2

SPR23 - Teens A2, Part 3

General French Teens (13-17)
This course is designed for 13-17 year olds who are comfortable interacting in French in a simple way. Throughout the academic year (Part 1 in Fall, Part 2 in Winter, and Part 3 in Spring), students will develop the skills and knowledge to have a basic conversation in French through topics related to their everyday life and environment. Through the textbook À la Une 2 and various other multimedia resources, they will learn to talk about events in the past with more precision and to formulate opinions. All activities are conducted mainly in French with an immersive approach.

Prerequisite: To start this course at Part 1, you will need to have completed the course Teens A1. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need an A2 result on our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

Pace: Regular, 10 weeks, 1h once a week, total of 10h
Teens B1+/B2

SPR23 - Teens B1+/B2, Part 3

General French Teens (13-17)
This course is designed for 13-17 year olds who are comfortable interacting in French. Throughout the academic year (Part 1 in Fall, Part 2 in Winter, and Part 3 in Spring), students will expand their capacity to describe their experiences, and to defend their opinions and ideas. Through the textbook À La Une 4 and various other multimedia resources, they will expand their vocabulary to discuss areas of personal interest, education, and current events. All activities are conducted in French with an immersive approach.

Prerequisite: To start this course at Part 1, you will need to have completed the course Teens A2+/B1. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need a B1+/B2 result at our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

Pace: Regular, 10 weeks, 1h30 once a week, total of 15h
