Fête de la Musique (World Music Day)

-
Pioneer Square

The Alliance Française de Seattle is thrilled to bring back the Fête de la Musique (World Music Day) in 2026. First launched in 1982 by the French Ministry for Culture, Fête de la Musique is a vibrant global celebration of music.

This year, we are moving the festivities outdoors to the historic heart of the city at Pioneer Square. Presented in partnership with the Downtown Seattle Association and Mirabelle by Orphée (the neighborhood's beloved authentic Parisian café and bakery), this event aims to create an inclusive, accessible, and festive experience for audiences of all ages and backgrounds while showcasing rich musical traditions.

This 3-hour outdoor concert is free and family-friendly. It will feature live sets from both bands and a special food & drink menu at Mirabelle by Orphée. Come enjoy a beautiful June afternoon surrounded by historic architecture, community connection, and world-class live music by the Jean Chaumont Trio and The New Triumph!

Free with RSVP.

Location: Pioneer Square Park, Seattle

Please plan ahead as the area can be quite busy, especially during events, and street parking is limited.

We strongly recommend using public transportation:

  • Link Light Rail: Get off at Pioneer Square Station, just steps from the park
  • Bus routes: Several lines stop nearby, including routes serving 3rd Ave & James St or 2nd Ave & Yesler Way (a short walk to the park)
  • Plan your trip here: https://kingcounty.gov/depts/transportation/metro.aspx

If you prefer to drive, there is a parking garage nearby:

  • Butler Garage (114 James St) – about a 1-minute walk (1 block) from the park
  • The garage includes an elevator for easy access.
  • Please note: parking rates vary, so we recommend checking prices in advance

Organized in partnership with Downtown Seattle Association, 4Culture, Mirabelle by Orphée and Seattle Parks & Recreation.
