The Alliance Française de Seattle offers a half-day teen program at its Wallingford location at the A2 Intermediate and B1 Independent levels. Continue your learning in and out of the classroom with French games, activities, and real-life conversations.
For its Teen Summer program, the Alliance Française de Seattle is thrilled to partner once again with Cocreative Culture, a nonprofit focused on ending the school-to-prison pipeline through restorative justice, music, and cultural healing.
Providence Kamana
TEEN CAMP INSTRUCTOR, FOUNDER OF COCREATIVE CULTURE
Providence Kamana, a Georgetown-trained racial justice advocate, brings over eight years of experience mentoring BIPOC youth and is
also an award-winning artist who uses music and Ubuntu values to uplift communities. This summer, we are thrilled to have
Providence lead our teen students to build confidence and fluency in French through music, games, sports activities, lively
conversation and creative student-produced content.
Like all Alliances Françaises, we offer French as a foreign language course programs (in French ‘FLE’ for ‘Français Langue
Etrangère’) and not as a native/second language course programs (in French ‘FLAM’ for ‘Français LAngue Maternelle’). This means
that our youth students are non-francophones.
Here is what our families have to say about our Summer Camps:
"Providence and his cultural experience was awesome."
"[My daughter] was excited and engaged on a daily basis. She enjoyed the pace and content. The instructor was clearly engaging
and welcoming."
"[We liked] the native speaker counselors and art education + related activities, also the outdoor time."
