In June, we celebrate the French musical tradition of the "Fête de la Musique", and on this occasion, we invite you to a live concert via Facebook on June 24 at 5pm. Our choir pianist, the talented Steven Luksan, will play his own compositions along with music by French composers.

Paris Chansons returns to Seattle with a fresh and exciting program in partnership with the Alliance Française de Seattle.

Paris Chansons is an exciting French band with an international twist based in Los Angeles. They are known for their original renditions of French favorites from Aznavour, Dassin, Piaf, Macias, Adamo, Dalida, all the way to contemporary artists like Za & Stromae. Their exhilarating performances are punctuated with gypsy jazz standards as well as classics in Russian, Italian, and other languages.

Celebrate the month of Francophonie with three French-language films! In our second film Swagger, enter the minds of children and teenagers with astonishing personalities who are growing up in some of France's most underprivileged housing projects.

Celebrate the month of Francophonie with three French-language films! To start off the series, Edmond (Cyrano, My Love) takes a look at the story behind Edmond Rostand and how he wrote the play Cyrano de Bergerac.

Celebrate the month of Francophonie with three French-language films! Third and last in the series is Les Fleurs oubliées (Forgotten Flowers), a Canadian comedic eco-fable brought to Seattle by the Délégation du Québec in Los Angeles. 

The Prix Albertine Jeunesse, a reader’s choice award, invites children between 3 and 14 years of age to choose their favorite book from a selection of works of Francophone youth literature. The prize seeks to reinforce the practice and love of reading among children.

Join AFSeattle, Elliott Bay Book Company and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the US to welcome the great Algerian novelist Kaouther Adimi during her US tour for the release of Our Riches, translated by Chris Andrew and published by New Directions. 

Register your class/students to Festinema Junior in April 2020!

Created in 2014, Festinema Junior offers film screenings and lesson plans to promote French culture and language. The festival aims at introducing young audiences to subtitled foreign movies and independent films as well as teaching them to think critically in their film analysis.

Vincent is a biographical one man show, written by Leonard Nimoy and performed by French actor Jean-Michel Richaud. The performance will be in French with English subtitles.

On Saturday, January 11, 2020, join the Alliance Française de Seattle and the Union des Français à l’Etranger (UFE Seattle) to celebrate the Epiphany and its traditional Galette des rois.

The galettes will be provided by La Parisienne French Bakery for an authentic experience. As the tradition goes, a charm (fève) will be hidden in each galette, and the lucky one to find it will become queen or king for the day. The galettes will be accompanied by a French cider tasting, served by Beauchamp Imports.
