Part 2: Workshops at Gage Academy of Art

The Alliance Française is pleased to present the fourth Seattle edition of Night of Ideas. This year, Villa Albertine's global event series celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the historic role of Franco-American cultural diplomacy.  

The second part of the Night of Ideas Seattle will be held at Gage Academy of Art on Sunday, April 19. This afternoon of programs continues the discussions through hands-on artistic workshops and panel discussions exploring how creative practice offers pathways beyond algorithmic thinking.

Paint-by-Number Mural

Throughout the afternoon, we invite you to participate in this collaborative paint‑by‑number mural! Everyone is welcome to help bring this large shared artwork to life. Using readily available paint and brushes, participants fill in small, color‑coded sections that gradually reveal a vibrant, unified image, turning many individual contributions into one collective creation. It’s an easy, welcoming way for people to connect, slow down, and leave their mark on something beautiful together.
