Fall26 - Tortues 3 - A1.3 (Part 1)
General French Youth (9-12)
The third and final year of the A1 beginner program for 9-12 year olds, Les Tortues 3.
In this course, students will review and reinforce concepts learned throughout the A1 beginner program so as to prepare for the DELF Prim A1 exam, an official certificate awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify proficiency in French as a Foreign Language. The exam, administered by certified instructors at AFSeattle, is adapted to a young audience and designed to promote confidence and encourage continued interest in the language.
At this level, students can already use simple phrases to introduce themselves and describe their immediate environment, simple feelings, and basic preferences. This class is a great review of the textbooks and workbooks Les Loustics 1 and 2.
Textbook: No textbook required. All materials will be made available for download on our Student Portal.
Prerequisite: To start this course at Part 1, you will need to have completed the course Les Tortues 2 or received a Youth A1.3 result at our placement test. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need a Youth A1.3 result at our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.
Next course: Students who have completed Les Tortues 3 (Part 1, 2 and 3) can enroll in our A2 program Les Pingouins for 9-12 year olds in the following academic year, starting at Les Pingouins 1.
Pace: 10 weeks, once a week, total of 10h
