This class will review essential vocabulary for travel and teach you what you need to know for practical, fun travels in France
or to any other French-speaking country. You'll learn how to pronounce French words and use key vocabulary and phrases for authentic
cultural experiences.
This course will help you improve your writing in French. Using the textbook "Rédiger et communiquer efficacement", we will

This course is a film-centered language class, dedicated to building oral comprehension and communication skills. Through film, criticism,
and reviews, students will enhance their knowledge of spoken French at all language registers —formal, standard, and informal—as well as
their French cultural literacy.
This film study will be accompanied by a look at popular songs from the time period in which each film exploded in the world of French
cinema. French cinema is a conduit to explore ideas—philosophical, sociological, or political—embodied by actors on film. This quarter,
students will explore romantic attachment through three films: Jean Renoir’s La règle du jeu (1939), Éric Rohmer’s Ma nuit
chez Maude (1969),
and Claude Chabrol’s L’Enfer (1994).
Course materials: Students will watch each film outside of class. Access to the films will be provided through our elearning platform
Apolearn. All other materials will be made available on our e-learning platform Apolearn.
Prerequisite: B2.3 or B2+ course, or B2.3/C1 result at placement test

française. Rêvant de quitter son Alsace natale, la jeune femme s’installe avec lui à Meknès pour y fonder une famille. Dans ce pays
