Fall26 - French Cinema for Teens
Discover, discuss, and get inspired by short films from France and the French-speaking world!
In this course, teens will receive a brief introduction to the history of French cinema and explore different film genres and the characteristics that make French films unique. Through engaging discussions and analysis, students will explore characters, storylines, dialogue, and filmmaking choices. We will discuss our favorite and less favorite scenes and think critically about what could have been done differently or not. As storytellers and screenwriters, students will explore how different choices could have changed the direction of the story and led to alternative outcomes.Throughout the course, teens will build confidence in French while developing their ability to express opinions, analyze stories, develop their own artistic expression and discover new cultural perspectives through cinema.
Open to all levels of French.
